All quiet on the blogging front
All's quiet on the blogging front... well for me anyway. It's summer I suppose and we all have better things to do when the sun shines! I've been around [online I mean] but engaged in my new addiction - my PDA.
New stuff for the PDA appears every day. It's a nightmare to keep up with all the updates and new releases. I must say that i've enjoyed the whole experience, it's been like having my first computer all over again.
My personal holiday spirit has well and truly worn off now. I got the feeling that my work colleagues - the teaching ones were quite disgusted that i'd taken leave in term time. I suppose I can't expect them to know that in three years this'll be the first that i've taken all the holidays due to me.
One network switch hung while I was away, and it took 4 days for those covering for me to work that out. 2 of those days were bank holiday days when finance just happenned to be working. They would've expected me to go in even though i'm not paid to. So i'm glad I was 1000 miles away.
Heather scalded her hand yesterday - she went to do the washing up at the Ti a Fi (Toddler Group) and didn't realise a mug was standing full of freshly boiled water. She stuck in her hand and was given a plastic bag to wear over her hand for 24 hours. Today she woke up with a migraine, which she struggled through with the help of her mum and dad who were visiting for the day. She's feeling a lot better now, and she can use her hand again!
Thanks to Nikki-ann & Graeme for leaving comments. Well blogging more than me as well ;)

me daddy :(
I recieved a text from Heather today: "Emily did a wee on the toilet"! I know you must just wish that you recieved texts like that!
I'm missing spending my days with the kids. I feel cheated come bedtime that I've missed out on it. I can't talk to them about what they did today, 'coz I didn't do it with them. It seemed so natural somehow, spending the days together.
you guys crack me up:: [itchy & scratchy

It's a hard life...
Had a great holiday in Brittany - La Trinite S/ Mer near Carnac on the southern coast. It's the first time I've ever been 3 weeks anywhere, and it wasn't too long I can assure you:) It rained lightly for 3 mornings - which sounds torrential from the inside of a tent! - but we didn't usually get up 'till late so that didn't affect us too much.
The kids slept thier usual 12 hours a night and went to bed at 8-ish until wednesday last week, when they decided to stay up much later. We decided to go with the flow. One night we were playing on the beach 'till 9:30pm - the sea was still warm and we had it all to ourselves. The kids then slept in 'till 10am so it wasn't so bad ;)
We took our car and driving was definately a positive experience. There's not the volume of traffic we have in the UK. The roads are in good repair and there are a lot of long straight ones. Roadsides are full of adverts which make the journey interesting, Back in the safety mad uk where roadside ads are outlawed it's quite dull in comparison.
I found wireless internet access quite accidentally - our waiter used his card machine at our table, so I was using my PDA in the loo - as you do :D, and gave google a try - it was quite fast. I asked again on another visit and they were quite ok about it. They didn't want me to pay, like no one had ever used it before, so I made a few visits. Quite an experience: surfing whilst sitting outside a cafe sipping a long cool drink! [I hope you're jealous now ;)]
We hardly took any photos but here are a few quick pics.
Thanks guys for your comments, i'm really looking forward to reading what you've all been up to!
